| Jim, Bingo... when the crank needs to be turned, I always drop off the crank bearings with the crank and block. If a crank is in good shape, and everything measures correctly, no problem fitting bearings. Usually they are STD and just a matter of installing new ones. Also good tip on "filing" down the thrust. Poor choice of words, as I was thinking of machining. Yep, fine emery paper will do the trick. Cheers, Tom |
