Fuel Pump Question

I put new gas lines in and relocated my electric fuel pump to the rear of
the car. Got everything tightened up, poured two gallons of gas in the tank,
and nothing.  No gas is being pumped.  My question is - do you have to prime
the pump somehow in order to get the flow going?  Or do I just need to put
in more gas?  Anything else you can think of?  Thanks - anxious to get on
the road after 4 weeks :)  It is supposed to be a beautiful weekend!
