Kinda related question on heater/defroster ducts. Several of the plastic
"tines" on the plastic defroster duct covers on the dash are busted and
they look rather shabby now that we had the dash remanufactured. Does
anyone have any good alternatives--I'm assuming that any replacement NOS
defroster grates would be rather brittle at this point and prone to the
same breaks as the ones we have now.
I was thinking that a bit of chromed, coarse screening--ie. like chromed
hardware cloth-- would make a snazzy alternative if they were secured from
the backside of the stock "surround" or a similar method. Has anyone done
anything like this before? Suggestions?
