Hey guys-

did you know that the throttle opening TOO FAR can cause similar 
symptoms?  

In my case, I had PO/anti-PO madness afoot.  No throttle stop screw
when I got the car; this let the throttle open too far, which made
the engine peter out at high RPM (sound familiar?;-)  I put a screw
in there, which helped.

Then, last month when I got it running again, I said to myself, 
"What the Hell?!  Who put this longass screw under here?  No wonder
the car won't go!"  Took the screw out.  Said, hmm... that screw
*does* look familiar, somehow....  And back again was my mysterious
high-rev dieout.  Sheesh:-)

Yesterday, I reset the linkage, and lengthened the arm from the cable
bellcrank to the carb linkage.  ...best part is, I'm too chicken to 
see if it fixed anything!
