starting problems

I didn't have time in the morning to fully investigate so I'd thought 
I'd ask the masters.

I tried starting my roadster up this morning, but all I got was a 
click, not multiple clicks just one click. I could faintly hear a 
small less than a second whirr of the engine, but not a complete 
turnover. Basically a click, then a very small whir, but not start.

Any thoughts?
