Hey All,

Wow. That's all I can say when I think about the SoCalROC Trabuco Canyon
Run. There were many familiar faces as well as some new faces and cars. Yes,
it was Windy, but we made do and it was a beautiful day for a run. The
following people went on the run today:

Tom Prather 1969 2000
Victor Laury 1970 2000
Bob Klemme 1967.5 2000
Andrew Murphy 1964 1500
Chris Haggerty 1964 1500
Stan Chernoff 1967.5 1600
Roberty Eiler 1969 1600

I was very happy to see Bob Klemme and his really nice stock 1967.5 2000. He
has some really nice mags on the car that were unlike any I had ever seen on
a roadster. I got some pics of them. Bob's car is as nice a sotck 67.5 2000
as I have seen.

Tom Prather was second to show up in his nice 69 2000 (The lady in red). He
has a very nice car and he showed me his grant wheel with custom wrap.

Victor Laury came in his solexed 1970 2000 in autocrossing mode with his
slicks and 4.38 rear end. Vic's car is ALWAYS fast.

Stan Chernoff came in his 67.5 1600 solex stroker car. Stan the Man...

Along with my own 1964 1500 I was able to welcome two new faces and cars to
SoCalROC:

Chris Haggerty came in his 1964 1500. I was ecstatic to see this car as it
had been just recently returned to the road after a long hiatus. A lot of
work went in to getting it road worthy and it was great to see it out.

Robert Eiler came in his pretty 1969 1600. This car is very pretty with Z
Mags, a really neat boot and beautiful egg plant purple paint job that
sparkled in the sun.

Andy Marosi's 1968 1600 isn't on the road but he came anyway to see cars and
lend support.

All in all, a great turnout.

We took off from the meeting place and headed out to Santiago Canyon Rd. It
was a sunny and windy day and we had a very nice time driving along the
highway. We got to Cook's Corner which is a very well known biker hangout
and waited for the group tp catch us. When they didn't, Bob Klemme and Andy
Marosi went back to find out why. Turns out Robert Eiler had some gunk in
his fuel filter and his carbs were starving. We proceeded up the road
through some great twisties and then we stopped off for lunch at Senor
Lico's Mexican Restaurant.

We talked things Roadster and talked about Solvang. After one more look at
the cars and a few more pics we headed our separate ways.

My thanks to all the members who came out today. I am really looking forward
to Solvang and seeing all the other cars.
