Allen,

I didn't see any reply to your hole locations in the vertical surfaces
where you think the roll bar mounts. I believe the holes you are looking
at are quite small, about 4 or 5MM. Thise holes are used to mount straps
to hold whatever you put on the rear shelf from flying around. If you
recall the early 240 Z's, they had similar straps, I don't know about
later ones.

The roll bar didn't have any factory holes installed. Most roll bars
(including mine) are just for show, as they are just mounted to the body.
To make a roll bar sturdy enough to take a roll over without totally
colapsing or pulling out they need to be attached to the frame under the
body. This isn't difficult to do, but does require some metal fabrication
and welding to get the mounts in solid.
