Fortunately, my local tire dealer has been nice enough to mount one tire on a
rim and let me test it to determine if it would rub. I have a 1966 SPL-311
original...... with Panasports, 15 mm offset 15 inch rims. I tried the 195/55
x 15 but they look too small in height. The 195/60 x 15 look much better. My
question is that on the rear wheels, the fender just misses the tire. I have
a little less then 1/2 inch clearance from the fender. The height looks good.
I attached a picture but I don't think that it will help much.
Do you think that ~ 3/8" clearance is enough clearance.
