Hello all,

I sent a note to Nissan USA about the parts dumping that is going on. I asked
that they consider making the parts available to clubs - even to notify the
clubs that the parts were still stocked items - but to no apparent avail. This
was their reply.

        Dear Mr. Raper,

Thank you for your recent email to Nissan North America, Inc. and
allowing
us the opportunity to be of assistance. We apologize for the delay of
        response.

As you know, warehousing costs far outweigh the demand for older parts.
While we would like to make vintage part finding easier on the
consumer, it
        simply is not financially sound.

File number 4137092 has been created to document this concern. If you
have
any further questions or comments, please feel free to email me back or
call
        1-800-647-7261 (Nissan Consumer Affairs).

        Sincerely,

        Scott S.
