Bad Flex brake lines?

Hello All,
  So I need to know how to tell if my flex brake lines are going to 
need to be replaced?  Having not thought about it for a while I am 
a bit worried about all the driving I am going to be doing going 
up to shasta and what not.  I flushed the brakes and there were balck
particles in the fluid.  Am I screwed?  How in the heck am I going to get new 
flex lines before Thursday?
