When I got my car, the gas tank was full of crap. All I did was take the tank
off, empty out the bad gas, put about quart or two of new gas in, Swish around
really good, bang it with a rubber mallet a few times to loosen up the rest,
dump that crap out, repeat a couple more times with clean gas. The last thing
I did was to take hubby's air hose and very carefully blow out the remaining
loose rust and crap. Takes about 30 minutes and a gallon of gas.
