Hi friends,

As most of you know, I'm a Nissan dealer in Belgium and owning a 69' LHD
2000.

The roadster was somekind of special order for Datsun Belgium, but was
officialy imported to Belgium.
When I started my restoration 3 years ago I was far away of thinking that
NMPCE (Nissan Motor Parts Center Europe) had become unable to deliver most
of the needed parts.
Even the parts manager of Nissan Belgium, who owns a few early Z, was unable
to help me. He told me that he has been through that too, and all inquiries
at NMPCE were useless as they always said NLA, discontinued etc.

So I ordered my parts and parts for others at CDM, Rally and Datsun Import
(Ross). Many thanks to them.

A few months ago I started importing NISMO parts through Nissan Motorsport
USA, some parts were local, others had to be imported by NM USA from Japan.
The shipping costs were high as I had to pay twice, Japan-USA and
USA-Belgium. So I tried to get in touch with NISMO Japan.
After a lot of emails and a written authorisation of Nissan Belgium allowing
me to import and sell NISMO parts (without exclusivity rights) I finally
became a Nismo Dealer.

As I received a few roadster parts through Nissan Motorsport USA too, I
tried the same with Nismo Japan.
They refused, but told me that I have a very good taste and that they will
forward my inquiry to someone at NM LTD Japan.

And guess what ... NM LTD contacted me.
They asked about VIN, YEAR and partnumbers I want to order.

I put a few know NLA parts on the list, gears, chains, upper and lower
tensioner, guides, exhaust etc.

2 days later he told me that everything was available and that he was going
to inform NMPCE about the part delivery and that my parts will follow the
classic part delivery route and invoice will come through Nissan Belgium.

I thanked him many times but told him not the send out the parts.
I told him that I was very upset about NMPCE.
I told him that these parts were supposed to be NLA and that the timing
components cost me over 2000.-euro including shipping and taxes as I had to
order in the States.
He told me that all these parts would cost less than 500.- in Japan.

So, if you are searching for something that is told to be NLA by Nissan USA,
Australia or elsewhere, send me a list of what you are looking for, I will
send one list every month to NM LTD. and who knows, maybe I can help.

Have a nice day,
Chris - The Belgian Roadster
