What Dave said. Plus, the contacts loose temper and will not hold the fuse.
Try a loop of solid wire around the 'ears' of each fuse clip and twist it
tight. That is, one piece of wire on each of the clips. Don't want to
bypass the fuse! BTW, any time that a fuse has gotten hot it should be
replaced. Heat can cause a bad connection on the inside of the fuse itself.
