68 =E2=80=93 70  roadster=E2=80=99s have a line that goes back to the =
tank from the back carb. So if it=E2=80=99s still hooked up the fuel =
filter will never be full.=20

Subject: [Roadsters] 68 SPL fuel filter

Hey All,

been doing a little maintenance on my 68 SPL with a buddy, after looking =
things over he remarked that the fuel pump is going out and needs to be =
rebuilt or replaced. He based this on the filter only filling to just =
above the inlet/outlet level lets say 60% full.=20

As far as I remember this was that was it has always been and that you =
could see the pump pulsing the fuel into the filter. He says the filter =
should be completely full of fuel and we shouldn't see a pulsing action.

The filter is the stock one and it is clipped into the stock holding =
bracket.

Let me know what you have seen or think about his assumptions.

Thanks

Matt
