I will be at VIR. Am planning on a first major outing of the season with my
GT6, which is an ex-SCCA car with logbooks dating back to 1972.

Here's a brief history of the car, which started racing life on the west
coast and came east. If you know any of these guys, please pass this along.

First recorded outing was with Tom Hall at PIR, then:
Laguna Seca (picture in logbook shows a black car, though the description
says white, and a little remaining paint indicates it was that pale
yellow/white color)
SIR
Oregon GP, and others.
The car moved to Bill Davis on the East Coast and ran VIR in April 1973
Road Atanta, the Sun Bowl ?, Summit Point, Charlotte, and then turned up
with W. David Bailey at Nelson Ledges in September 76.
James Clipper bought it in 1978 and ran Summit Point and Watkins Glen ('80).
It was then sold to John Lehman in Ohio and apparently next run in 1997.
John sold it to Randy Lamp, who restored it and then John bought it back
again. It has mostly been idle for the past three-four years.

By the way, I also have the logbook for James Clipper's Spitfire (I don't
know my Spits, but pre- Kamm tail, BRG with yellow wobbly wheels, ran
G -prod, with a number 4 on it). Raced VIR in 73 and Summit through '78,
when the logbook says it rolled and suffered extensive body damage.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of these guys who raced the GT6, I'd love to
hear from them.
