Cary:

The VARA British Extravaganza at Buttonwillow continues and any FOT
members wishing to create a regional get together would be very welcome.

If there was enough interest, VARA could probably be convinced to run a
Triumph feature race. In the mean time there is the MG vs Triumph
feature which would be a good chance to strut your stuff.

The venue is still very laid back with the emphasis on racing rather
than glitz.
The British motoring public is encouraged to attend with the idea to
recreate the hey day of Southern California racing when attending races
was an important part of the club scene.

Since Buttonwillow is pretty much in the middle of no-where, the
spectators tend to be more appreciative of the racing and are a pretty
good bunch to hang with.

The Saturday evening BBQ and Karaoke are a good time to kick back and
usually (although not always) the evenings are warm enough for late
night bench racing for those camping at the track.

It is a haul to the closest Motels, so my recommendation is to stay
on-site.
