I just went to the Kruse website. I wrongly assumed that this was an E-type.
It
actually is a V12 version. The Jag has a Huffaker engine, although it is in
Group 44
livery. More info can be seen at www.kruse.com and then search for Jaguar
1971.

FYI, there is only one Group 44 E-type and it is in the collection of the
Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust in England. The one up for auction is a
replica of some sort.

Well, I was going to send this in another form, but I just was looking
at a brochure for a Kruse auction in Houston this weekend, and they
list one of the 15 1979 Ford LTD-WagonQueen Family Trucksters from
National Lampoon's Family Vacation. Offered at no reserve. They also
are selling the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car. Also, in January at
Scottsdale, one of the Group 44 Jaguar E-Types is on offer.

Can't wait, John! I still miss the '68, two-way magic doorgate, dual
side-facing rear seats and all. Not bad on power, even if it was "only"
  a 390 2V! :-)

*Mrs Irrelevant: Oh, is it a jet?
*Man: Well, no .. It's not so much of a jet, it's more your, er,
  Triumph Herald engine with wings.

    Andy,
I'll be sure to invite you for a ride when my '67 Country Squire
  "woody" is
ready to attack anything north of 60mph!
