Allen.... I have one of the TRF radiators in my street TR-250 for about
3 months now.... they are actually made by Wizard Cooling - a USA
company. The mechanical water temp gauge shows exactly 180deg. under all
running conditions (I removed oil cooler as I thought it would run too
cool) .... takes quite a bit of idling to turn electric fan on (190
deg.switch) www.wizardcooling.com
I would assume that it would work very well in a race car particularly
if oil cooler is fitted.
Leon.....Wizard also made up a radiator for my Sports 6 (only difference
from TR250/6 was location of side mounting brackets 4" lower...... I
worked with a guy - Scott Attig who was very helpful

I used TR6 green hoses and bought an aluminum u-bend tube to match the
u-bend top hose original to Vitesse. I can send pix if you want.
FYI... both radiators seem to be about 1/8"-1/4" too wide (compared to
stock TR250 radiator) & required some very minor "tweaking" to fit into
both cars...I have mentioned this to them but don't know if they have
changed their dimensions.

If I were you, I would follow the advice of this list and purchase an
aluminum radiator made here in the USA.
I am willing to be that they are every bit as good as those made in the
UK.
I have a Serck Marston Aluminium Radiator made for my Vitesse in the UK,
and
fitted immediately before I emigrated in March 2002. It cost 355 GBP,
(700 USD
at today's exchange rate.
I didn't even have to suffer today's exchange rate, shipping or import
duties!
It proved to be a good fit in all dimensions except that the spout was
too
tall, and facing in the wrong direction.
It has a late (post 1973) Triumph Stag cap with one of the 'ears' cut
off as
they point longditudinally rather than transversely.
I have had to locate another aluminum spout, (Chevy-Summit Racing), and
another cap, (Jeep), and a decent alumnum welder.
And, I still have to remove the radiator, have the old spout removed and
the
new one fitted, more expense!
Before I can re-adjust the bonnet/flip front to get the gaps right
again!
No, get it here, then any issues can be sorted out locally.
