I tried to find the installation instructions that came with the MSD6! I
currently use but could not locate it.  I will keep looking.

However, I did run across a coil compatibility list which may explain some
failures.

But I remember quite clearly the Plug Wire issue because I called The MSD
tech support to ensure that the ones I decided on would not damage the unit.

Even the instructions posted today on their web site do not say that for
MSD5 units (the one that went thermally intermittent on my motorhome).

And I'm fairly certain (though I don't have them handy to check) that the
instructions I originally received with the 6A did not say that either.
