As the two cars, Swanson in the GT-6 and Fitzgerald in the Datsun came to
the last corner of the last lap, the left rear suspension on Carl's GT-6
broke and Carl took a tough ride down the side of the front straight and
finally came to a halt .Second, but no banana. This accident is what caused
me to make the forged hubs for the later cars. Steve Smith now can do the
same thing for any GT-6 owner and you REALLY should do it.
