Earlier this year when I was replacing the sleeves and pistons in the TR4
vintage racers engine Jack sent me his "Jack Drews Tips for Engine
Assembly". It was very useful, to say the least, and was my guide for the
"rebuild". I don't know how widely Jack distributed this. I did some
additions and editing to clarify for my own use. I also had one addition on
installing the distributor to the oil pump drive that Jack had mentioned.
If there is interest in Cary's proposal, this document may make a good
starting point. I was also talking to Kas at Watkins Glen about installing
the stock rear seal on the TR motor and Kas mentioned that he hadn't put
that in his books and maybe should have. I'm sure there are other things
that could be added to a "FOT Competition Manual". As I'm still learning
about the TR4 motor, I for one would like to see this happen.
