the use of a TR box is common here in australia, however the biggest issue
is the crappy ratios unless you buy the close ratio kit and substantial
extra weight
most original CR kits are from the dolomite sprint era and these have a
common 10 x 1" spline, smaller than TR. clutches are no problem. some
vendors now supply different input shafts
the TR engine plate is required
my race gt6 uses a much modified TR7 4 speed
