Alex,
I've a non-adjustable wheel on my BT7. The trafficator position is
keyed to a slot in the stator tube. If your trafficator is skewed off
verticle, you should be able to fix it by loosening the nut holding the
olive down by the steering box and rotating the stator to the best
position.

After reading over the recent thread on re-inserting the steering tube
wiring, and looking over Steve Byers' notes on removing the turn
signal
switch, as well as the great series of 25 photos at
www.wavewired.net/~tracy/trafficator/trafficator.htm I still have a
question.
My trafficator is slightly canted to the left. That is, whoever
reassembled
the steering wheel on my car at some point in its murky past caused a
slight
error of far less than 120 degrees. As such, the trafficator at rest
doesn't
sit at the top of the wheel---it's slightly offset to the left.
After re-reading all the notes and looking at the photos, I'm at a loss
to
figure out why this is so. Can someone explain why, and what needs to
be
done to correct it? I've noticed this error on some other Healeys,
too.
