Bill ... To find the cause , hold the engine at a fast idle then pull one of
the battery terminals off , if the engine stops its not charging , pull the
generator off and have it rebuilt , don't just put in brushes ... Many years
ago
at a Weat Coast meet in Shasta a Healey from B.C Canada had worn out brushes
l fixed it by putting a piece of wood under the spring of the generator brush
, this got him home (1500 miles ) BUT his friend in another Healey had
generator problems going home with him , so thay had to keep trading batteries
to get
him to B.C --------------MAYBE THAT SAME PERSON IS READING THIS ??? ...
