This thread dried up without any satisfactory conclusions, so I thought I
would bring it up again. A few weeks ago, my 1959/60 BN7 was taken out of
action
by a broken distributor cap. When I checked my local supplier, I learned that
this essential part is no longer available from Moss, and they have confirmed
that they do not have a supplier for the cap.
I checked with British Car Specialists, which was able to supply me with a
used cap for $50. They also had available an NOS Lucas cap for $150, but I
passed on that.
Has anyone else had any luck finding a source for these caps? If not, are we
just all going to park our early six-cylinder Healeys by the side of the road
and use them for flower planters when the last of these distributor caps
breaks?
