Hey, I'm sure some listers are also on an MG list, so here's a bit of
poop on a car I saw for sale in Little Rock the other day..... 1947
MGTC, complete and running and drivable if you can handle the RHD. Top,
side curtains and upholstery look pretty good but I don't know how to
identify if they're original type or not. The paint is shiny and the
car is very clean looking from 10 feet. Closer scrutiny shows some
rough edges. Engine compartment appears to be complete and original but
here again, I'm not much up on TC's. Wire wheels had numerous loose
spokes. Had UK registration tags. I didn't recognize anything chopped
up or strange looking. Car number is TC 3981. I was told the car is
for sale at $3,500.00 and that the owner has yet another TC that he
apparently plans to keep. The owner's name, as I was told, is John
McKay (a realtor) at 501.221.0001. I have zero financial interest in
this car......I'd just like to see this rare bit of history have a good
home.
Jack
