I've heard that Easy-Off is good for removing anodized finishes. Unless, of
course, you don't want the finish off. Then it's bad.

I didn't know that Berryman's was that strong.  I knew that brake
cleaner could do the job, but I think it dissolves rubber.  Another
email suggested cold oven cleaner with the warning that it can
chemical burn w/o protection.  I worry about the rubber parts with it
as well..



I would be careful with oven cleaner.  I know that the brand "easy off oven
cleaner" will make some sort of reaction with aluminum foil.  I saw it
sprayed
onto foil and the foil was crumpled up and it started smoking.  Don't know
if
same will happen with the different metals in the Healey, but if you try, be
careful.
