Had the same problem, sent the wheels to www.hendrixwirewheel.com
They tuned the wires, trued the wheels then balanced. No more shimmy.
Very pleased, no $ interest.

Never thought I would use this media but here goes. I have a 65 BJ8 and have
this shimmy or scuttle shake at 55 mph. Never talked to a healey owner
without an opinion, so I am looking for some clues to nail this down. I have
had the wheels rebalanced with correct adapters used, moved the tires
around, checked pressures, etc.
