If I leave my first run of the year until the morning Pat Quinn or Chris

Dimmock may well be up earlier so after watching the Sydney fireworks on

TV I started up the Webers and took them for a quick run.
Late night runs are usually no worry but being New Year the police are
out in force keeping law and order, usually the law breakers are
associated with alcohol. Here in Australia traffic offenses during
holiday periods attract Double Demerit points which may lead to loss or
suspension of our license. Me I am just out there hoping that by setting
an example so early in the year it will continue all year.

All the best to all you characters out there that make up the wonderfull

  world of Healeys.There is room for all of us;
   the fast and slow
the original -- that is the cars that have been maintained in whatever
  condition and still go
the conco------[fill in to suit your own view] that let the dismantled
  know what to aim for
the modifieds, that is what Healey was all about while Austin and
  then BMC doodled

I hope everyone got a Lucas Parts and Maintenance manual for
Christmas.Standard aint all that bad as the race, rally and speed records

were all set with mostly standard off the shelf parts that were well
fitted and adjusted with a little experience thrown in and that advice
seems to be freely available from some of the list members who are paid
and make a living from selling the same info and parts to others. Some
times it is much 'cheaper' and it saves a hell of a lot of time to
purchase from the regognised expert get his advice and we do the more
labour intensive dirty work that we are best qualified to do.

Do it more and enjoy yourself in 2005 and watch out the Aussie racers
  are coming.

  Regards Joe
  red one
  blue one
mustard one, sadly I sold it after 30 years -- big mistake
