Hi,

I want to install a PCV valve in my 3000 and would like to know the
part number valve others are using. My local parts store can not get the
CV 727C valve Norm Nock mentions in his book. I know most PCV valves are
mounted vertically and the weight of the plunger affects at what vacuum
they open. How have other owners mounted the valve, Norm is his book
shows it installed horizontally? Are there enough air leaks for fresh
air to enter the engine to scavenge the fumes out. Most newer engines
have a source of filtered air so the vacuum created by the PCV valve
will cause filtered air to be pulled in as the fumes are pulled out by
the PCV valve. I thought the PCV valve install would be a fun Winter
project that might help keep some crud out of my engine.

                            Regards
                             Wayne
