 Hi All, I don't know if this post will be any help to Simon but it's an
interesting thought...I also have a Mk2 BT7, originally non-servo.  I
adapted Cadillac ElDorado disks to the rear, switched to a BJ8 (7/8")
master cylinder, and added a 7" aftermarket remote booster with 7/8"
bore intended for street rods.  It mounts in the same place as the AH
servo on a bracket I fabricated myself.  You cannot use stock AH mounts
for this unit.  It works very well, is clean and neat, and the total
cost was around $200.  If anyone who not too anal about originality is
interested, feel free to contact me.

Hi,

I have a MkII BT7 with a factory fitted servo. Don't all start shouting
at once..there were a few in the typically muddled switch over from BT7
to BJ7.

 

So, miy servo sticks occasionally and I suspect that the main bore is
well past its sell by date. There's a "Mk 2a" unit for sale over here.
Will that fit my car or is it BJ7s & 8s??
