Really sounds like it is running lean, suggesting, as others have said, an
air leak somewhere or carbs out of adjustment.
Although easy enough to check, I don't think it would be a clogged fuel
filter. Usually a clog in the fuel system give you the opositie effect,
starts and runs ok, then as the push of the fule pushes the sediment to the
clog point eventually fuel starvation, miss or even stall.
Alans suggesting for looking for manifold or carburator leaks wouldbe a good
place to start in my opinion.
