Gear Reduction Starter

Just received my new Gear Reduction Starter and am about to
install. But a question has come to mind. Are Gear Reduction
Starters polarity sensitive? I switched the BT7 to negative
earth sometime ago and have a Petronix ignition, therefore don't
want to switch back to positive earth unless necessary.
The new starter has two terminals one red and one black,
I assume the red one connects to the solenoid, am I
correct?
