Hi, George -

There were 553 Metallic Golden Beige BJ8s built, which is 3% of the total
BJ8 run so they are relatively rare. Contrary to some thinking, these cars
were not built in either chassis number or body number consecutive sequence
but scattered out over the range from chassis numbers 40190 to 43025, or
2,836 cars. Many of them were repainted to other colors soon after delivery
because the factory paint didn't hold up well.

The value of a car depends on a lot of things. For example, would a
rusted-out golden beige car pull in more than a Kurt Tanner-restored Healey
Blue one? Probably not. Is a Kurt Tanner-restored original golden beige car
worth more than the Healey Blue one? To someone with the resources who will
only settle for a golden beige, yes. To others, no.

In general, the golden beige cars are worth more in comparison to other
3000s only to someone who puts value into the relative rarity of the paint
color and wants a BJ8. The value of any car is only what someone is willing
to pay for it.

Is there anty truth to the 67 BJ8 metasllic golden beige worth more money
than any other 3000 or is that a myth.

If it is true, what is the typical premium?
