Having lived in Las Vegas, I can attest to the fact that many people
ACTUALLY DO leave chips and slot tokens in collection plates. (I plead
guilty) I remember that there are services that will separate them because
chips can only be redeemed at the casino from which they were issued.

One of the insidious facts that casinos rely upon is that since the switch
from silver dollars to tokens for dollar slots, many people psychologically
do not consider them real money thus they tend to just stuff them back in
willy-nilly.

Randy,

Actually the better joke, in that genre, involves the church-sponsored Long
John Silvers fast-food, because they not only have chip monks, but also fish
friars!
