The funny thing about all of this is no one seemed to have an issue with
rights to privacy when going through the operators in those days (of whom
I'm sure many criminals were apprehended from 'illegal' operator tips to the
local police).... yet now some people in the media seem to think our very
way of life is under threat because the NSA is listening in on suspected
terrorist conversations here in the US.  FDR, arguably the greatest Democrat
of all time, wouldn't have blinked twice to do the same when he was
president.  Anyway, enough politics...
