Hello Paul & Michael,
I bought a replacement for my choke cable knob (with cable to the block
serving 2 carbs) because my knob was old and worn. I was disappointed that
the replacement looked nothing like the original. So, I restored the
original knob by sanding it smooth and burnishing it back to life. Of
cource the C stamped and filled with paint on the original was lost by this
process so I made a "branding iron" out of scrap metal and reproduced the C
in the restored face of the knob and filled it with paint. It looks totally
original.
