Fellow listers,

A response from Randy Zoller, owner, British Heritage Motorsports.
http://www.britishheritagemotorsports.com/
regarding NGK plugs. Just another man's opinion.
BTW, I use Champion plugs in my Healey and MGA.

Sure. Might as well subject myself to as much ridicule as possible!!

Back in the late 60's and early 70's NGK was the only way to go. They had a
copper core and a wider heat range and were much better quality. Champion
switched to a copper core mid 70's to compete. Champions are also much
better quality now and have a more precise heat range. Way back when, NGK's
were all made in Japan and were excellent quality. If you look at the base
of an
NGK now it will say assembled in Mexico or India or whatever and tend to
have
a failure rate much higher than in the past. Champions dollar for dollar are
the
way to go now.

Randy
