You installed the 3/4 sliding hub in the wrong position on the main
shaft. There is a small plunger inside the gear that goes into a
notch in the main shaft. If the gear is installed in the wrong
position it will  not go into high gear.
You will need to strip the transmission to take the 3/4 sliding hub
off the main shaft and install in the correct position.
