Joe -

Did you put gross jets on the float bowls for the car?  There have been many
bad batches of gross jets that foul up extremely easy and shut of fuel
flow.  If this is the car, I would replace the gross jets with standard SU
needle jets and that should fix yoru problem.  The other problem is you may
have crud in your tank blocking the fuel pickup in the tank itself.
