Given the occasional use of my sports cars over the last 20 years, I have used
nothing but deep cycle marine batteries and have had no problems.

If a Optima battery looses its charge you can not charge it like a
standard acid battery. They must be put on a slow charger for 48
hours to bring them up to a full charge.
