Radio shack should sell a big round inline radio filter which attaches
to the powered lead for a car radio.  They used to sell them at least
- they work quite well.

If all else fails run it off a spare motorcycle battery, if you have
one, or a small 12V UPS battery which you can usually buy at a decent
computer supply store.
