Last year I converted my tripod headlights on my BJ8 to LED. Very simple
and what an improvement. When I bought them, I had to specify Pos or Neg so
I guess with some brands it does matter.
If you convert you will be happy, I can guarantee you. The other benefit is
that they draw considerably less power than the halogen bulbs I was using.
Go for it.
