" carburetors with just a 6040 number.=C2=A0 I'm 65 and these two members a=
re 15 years older than me, with a lot more experience.

When I bought this head from my restorer friend that has passed, he told m=
e it was off a 100M.=C2=A0 A valve stem had bent on startup and the valve, =
valve guide and the hole for the valve guide were damaged.=C2=A0 When I was=
putting seals on the valves I noticed one of the valve guides was larger i=
n diameter than the rest.=C2=A0 This was the repaired valve and guide.=C2=
=A0 Luckily it is an exhaust valve so a seal of the type i am using did not=
need to be fit over it.=C2=A0 My question is, a lot of the body parts were=
stamped with the chassis number on a 100M.=C2=A0 Did they also number engi=
ne parts?=C2=A0 This head had been cracked in the past and repaired correct=
ly.=C2=A0 See the " X" welded into the top of the head in the picture. Mike=
