I have used Autometer & VDO with no problems. They are switchable 4, 6, or 8
cyl. Some problems may arise if you are running an MSD ignition with the
VDO, & you may need a filter (more money, from VDO) but I did not need one
with the Autometer tach & a MSD 6A.

I presume all of the people who dropped a V8 into their MGB had the tach
problem. I already have the description on how to change the original 4
cylinder tach to 8 cylinder but I would appreciate words on any other
solution. If you have done a conversion/replacement I would love to hear
about it. It could be a subject to be covered in the British V8 Newsletter
!!

I am currently trying an SD1 tach implant under the guidance of Martyn
Harvey
