A quick question,

In trying to remove the axle on my 76MG-B, my plan is to disconnect axle from
springs, release springs at rear of car and just pull axle out the back of the
car. I'm sure there are a thousand better ways to do this, but it can be done
this way, can't it??

The question.. must I disconnect the shock link to get the spring low enough
to pull the axle?

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Keep in mind I'm doing this in the
driveway.
