I think anti-sieze is prone to washing out when exposed to water, too.  

I used silicone grease on caliper pins, but haven't revisited the pins
since.  So I cant say if I did something stupid yet.  It was on a Honda
and believe it was Honda's recommendation.  But can't remember now...
