You mean to say ...your not running 12:1!!! <G>
People were burning leaded fuel when I grew up...I turned out ok...
I was a range instructor in the military...Lots of lead in the air
there...didn't effect me in any way...the human body can rid itself of a
portion of lead over a specific period of time. I can't remember the
specifics off the top of my head but I did know all of the numbers about 12
years ago.

It's not like the car would be throwing chunks of lead at children.
Some people just need to try something once...if there isn't any appreciable
difference, they say to hell with it and find something else to check out.

I'm all for nature but I'm not some sort of tree hugger..."not that there's
anything wrong with that!" (J. Seinfeld)

There are a few of us that are running higher compressions in our engines.
Certainly not 12:1! There are some 10.5:1, 10:1, and 9.5:1. Generally high
test is good enough for these engines BUT there is the human desire to see
IF there is any improvement by experimentation. This is how we make the
advancements in technology. If we stopped wondering WHAT would happen
IF...technology would cease to advance AND we'd still be burning leaded
fuel.
