Relays have at least three terminals. One for the load, one for
the power to feed the load, and one to activate the relay.
Normally the activation lead just comes from a convenient hot
terminal, passes through the switch to turn on the relay and goes
to the relay. If you will start this lead lead at the high beam
side of the dipper switch instead of ANY always hot terminal, the
driving lamps will automatically go off when you switch to low
beams. I actually used a single pole double throw switch. One
always hot, and the other coming from the high beam lead. That
way I can use the driving lamps either always on, or coming on
and off with the high beams. JAT
