Your clunk could be any combination of:
1. Bad U-joints
2. Loose U-bolts
3. Worn leaf spring pads or bushes
4. Worn wire wheels or hub splines
5. Worn differential
6. "Junk in the trunk" :)
Your binding at the rear (how do you know it's the rear?) is more likely
brake problems. How old are your brake hoses? They can deteriorate
inside and become a sort of one-way valve that holds pressure.
